Born in New York City, Flirtatious-T® creator, Corey grew up during a period when there were no cellular phones, text messaging or social networking sites; a time when body language, facial expressions, talking and listening to one another face to face were the primary forms of communication.
As a direct result, his first love was the art of communicating and expressing himself. He started to demonstrate his passion for communicating at the age of 16 by becoming Class President his senior year in High School.
In June 2007, Corey launched Flirtatious-T®, “offering up clever and sexy shirts that don’t look as if the text had been ironed on by a college student with too much time on his hands” (Next Magazine, August 2007)
Although Corey understands the benefits to advanced technology and the need for instant gratification, he had the foresight to create a stylish product by combining fashion and using the concept of flirting to make people smile, to help break the ice for conversation, and to make people think.
In designing these fun shirts, Corey believes Flirtatious-T® is a product that the everyday person can wear to showcase their individual style, self-confidence, and self-appreciation in a way no other brand allows!
Since the inception, Corey Washington’s t-shirts have been spotted on such celebrities as Whoopi Goldberg, Kendra Wilkinson, and "America’s Next Top Model" Cycle 5 Runner-Up, Bre, and on hit shows like “The View” and “The Girls Next Door.”
Proudly, Corey’s "Guardian Angel" t-shirt was provided as a gift to Oprah Winfrey's "Big Give” contestants and given to a local Chicago charity. Realty Star Bridget Marquardt from "The Girls Next Door" also donated a Flirtatious-T® along with other personal items to raise funds for an Injured American Solider.
Publications like “Out in America,” “Next Magazine” and “Edge Publications” all have given their stamp of approval:
“FITS TO A TEASE...FITS TO A T...HOT NEW T-SHIRTS...FUN LOGOS...CLEVER AND SEXY SHIRTS...DISTINCTIVE STYLING...”
For Spring 2010, Corey plans to continue delivering a product that will spark a conversation in hopes of creating a new trend, old-fashion communication.
